Having successfully lobbied for an amendment to the British laws on retention of human remains, the Australian government is looking to arrange for repatriation of Aboriginal bones held in museums in Germany.
An article in Deutsche Welle reports that the Australian embassy has “approached the German authorities and [is] seeking to establish a legal framework for the return of remains.”
